Today was a typicall Saturday here in Amsterdam. Since the holidays are not over yet, I actually like to stay inside all day and avoid the city. Especially on Saturday.
There are people everywhere! It is like a giant ant-hill is placed at damsquare where people crawl out instead of ants. I understand it is one of the only free days of the week and people like to go out. With children, buggies and everything you just shouldn’t take with you during shopping… No offense.
I am always rushing, even if I don’t need to rush, I just can’t walk slow, or stroll in this case.
So try to figure out how it must look like when I have to walk through this crowd. Like some sort of angry bull with a very red head (literally in my case) breezing and looking mad while trying to walk normal. At least, for what I think is normal… Which it obviously isn’t. Otherwise I wouldn’t be so irritated and blame other people for walking in ‘my’ way, while I am actually the impatient b*tch.
Therefore it is better for me (and others) to just not go outside on days like this, unless I really have to. Today I really had to, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures as well. Even though the wind tried to blow off my hat.. multiple times! Which made me laugh, fortunately.
Now I am back inside, with a nice cup of Pukka tea, writing and editing my photo’s. Watching the people outside while they try to struggle through the crowd and stay warm, holding there jackets, hats and anything that this wind can blow away. I must say, they look like angry bulls as well. Maybe I am not that crazy at all… What do you think? Avoid or visit the mall on Saturday (especially during the holidays)
